The Old Jam Sessions

Tuesday was your birthday, my dear cousin Keith. I haven't been able to see you or hang out with you around the piano for years and years now. Remember when we were in high school and college, we spent hours around the piano, you playing, both of us singing, and talking about everything under the sun? I miss those days. So I had an idea. I'll relive the old times playing on my "YouTube" these old songs you loved. Can you hear me singing along?

This one you have to click over to. Too bad they didn't have Vienna.

Gotta have a song from the Guatemala era...

It was the 80's after all...

I wanted to pretend you were playing Claire de lune last, but it looked weird with a lady playing it in your place. It sounded weird with an orchestra. Then I found a video that has pictures. We'll pretend you're playing. And thanks. Thanks for all the music.

That was a sweet way to remember him. Sometimes I envy that he and Nancy got to go together, and while still in their 30's. But then I think about stuff they are missing--like Keith didn't get to dance with Kirsten at her wedding reception and now they can't cuddle their grandchild. Won't it be great to all be together again someday?
