Did you know that the recommended daily allowance of water a day is 8-12 eight ounce glasses? If you're like me, I don't have the brain cells to fit water consumption into my daily routine, so it is hit and miss how much I consume. Then I read an article about the health benefits of drinking water. Did you know it helps keep your blood the right consistency and improves heart health? It also helps lubricate your joints, which helps with arthritis symptoms. Plus, it increases blood flow to the skin, making it healthier looking and reducing wrinkles. On top of all that, It helps your whole digestive system to work more regularly and helps regulate your body temperature and fight infections.
Well, after reading all that, I thought maybe it would be worth my while to work on drinking more water. Amazingly enough, I found that when I started trying to drink enough water, my skin did look a lot better and my joints felt a lot better, too. There's just one catch. If I plan on straying too far from home, like to say take a kid to school or something, I find that I may soon end up needing something like this:
I don't want to find out where all the public restrooms between school and home are, and I don't want to go back to buying diapers anytime soon. Catch 22; either I run around wrinkly, creaky and dehydrated or I live with an overactive bladder. Kegel exercises, anyone?

I will start drinking more h20 tomorrow.
It's not wearing the Depends during the day that bothers me. It's getting up 5 times at night to go.
Seriously, it also helps balance your blood sugar. Who'd a thought? I have problems with low blood sugar if I don't drink enough water.
And it helps prevent bladder infections and kidney stones. That alone is worth a few hours in Depends. :)
I guess I need to replace my Diet Coke with water...
All I can say is pass the absorbent material!
ha ha ha!!! That is FUNNy and SO JUST LIKE ME!!!!
I have to pee ALL THE TIME....just thinking about it makes me have to pee.
But i do have good news for you...if you are anything like me and I think you ARE...pretty soon if you drink more water everyday, your body WILL get used to it & you will not have to pee so much!
So you can have your beautiful skin, free flowing blood, lubed joints, etc.... AND not have to wear Pampers or Depends! :()
That is so funny! But let me share from my own experience! Your body gets used to the extra water and the bathroom trips become less frequent. But at first it IS really bad;)
Also I find I started drinking more water after we got an R.O. it's a 5 step water filter. Not only does your water taste better it's better for you;)
Cute blog thanks for the chuckle!
If I didn't have to pee that much, I wouldn't have minded.
But strechable panties is not an option ...
BTW, I have tagged you. Drop on to my blog anytime.
have fun..
Unfortunately, I've always been cursed with a small bladder. I can tell you where all of the best bathrooms are in the local mall and now that I've had a child, I can tell you the ones with the best changing table and the best one for breastfeeding! Not sure, if this is something to gloat about. :)
LOL :)
Strangely, I can drink the recommended amount of water with no bladder problems, but one glass of iced tea and you'd think I was pregnant.
Pass the Depends.
It's been so long since I've been able to catch up on blogs...and mine suffereth so...I think I will be a foul-weathered blogger so now I can guilt-free not blog during the nice summer weather. It was just so refreshing to get back on here and read your blog! I love your writing and perspective on life! :)
LOL. I had a UTI recently so I had to drink tons of water. My skin & digestion definitely improved, but I spent my life in the bathroom. I'm with Karlene about getting up in the night.
:D
my husband is a champion water drinker and he hasn't got the bathroom rushes! ..... maybe it's something to do with having kids.... I know water is good for me, but seriously who has the time to keep running to the the loo?
I have glasses that are 16 oz. I keep in on the counter all day. When I walk by it, I am reminded to drink the water. I am pretty good with getting 4 of those in me. But like you, I have a very active bladder. I usually have to get up in the middle of the night too.
Thanks for this funny story. (PS, I have skin issues in the worse way. But the water really does help!)
Love T
LOL That is hilarious. I feel your pain....mine's due to a small little acrobat that's doing gymnastics practice on my bladder, but I can still relate! :)
