I was dreaming that the floor was a mess, crumbs and things strewn all over. (It was a very realistic dream.) I was trying so desperately hard to find the broom and dustpan so that I could clean it up but someone or something kept interrupting my search. It was so true to life, it was annoying. Not only do I have to live through this in my waking hours, I had to deal with it while I slept. Finally, for the umpteenth time, I turned to search for the broom. Suddenly, I woke up. Now that messy floor is forever trapped somewhere in the dark recesses of my mind where I will never be able to access it and clean it. It will always be a wreck. ARG! (Any dream analysts out there?)

My professional analysis is that it's time to stop trying to clean the house; grab some Popsicles and go play at the park. (maybe you'll find the broom there)
Just "pretend" that you already did it...oh no, wait, that's MY kitchen floor...and porch...and bathroom...
Don't go for that professional stuff...my opinion is...relax.
Enjoy your kids. Leave the floors be. Have a lovely weekend.
Blessings, EJT
No, I'd be grateful that someone else would have to clean that floor. It's no longer in my jurisdiction.
My analysis: Either you ate too many sweets before bed the night before or you have unresolved personal issues with someone that has passed away and you don't know how to deal with it.
You're too stressed. Forget the floor and go play. Believe me the floor will always need to be cleaned.
I don't know. According to one of my ward leaders though, the biggest problem facing the women of the church is trying to get every room of the house clean at the same time.
Maybe it means you are about to be translated, if only you can get that darned floor clean?
Oh I am SO with Jeri. That is a great GREAT analysis.
I lose my broom on a reglar basis. My kids are always stealing for some project or another.
There is a distinct possibility that I will dream about that broom tonight. Crap.
We have several brooms and at least 3 dustpans. There are a set that should not leave hubby's workshop, but get borrowed when we can't find the other ones.
I can sweep the floor and wash ibefore the big kids get home from school. It is totally trashed by bedtime.
Remember, cleaning house while the children are growing is like trying to shovel snow in a blizzard.
I was sure you were going to say that then you realized that you were awake and standing in that kitchen holding the broom! I'm with Jeri, time to walk away and go play! :)
That would make me CRAZY! That floor needs cleaned. Really. Argh!
That said, perhaps it is time to listen to your bloggy peeps and spend a little less time cleaning floors.
This is hilarious! Yes, time for a break. Popsicles sound good to me. I hate my kitchen floor (and my bathtub!)

At least you weren't dreaming about cleaning the oven.
You obviously have a deep seated fear that when you stand before God on judgement day, he'll mention the floor.
