Reality Shows, Get Real!

I thought it, and it HAPPENED! Toddlers, mice and small children always think that's how things work, and amazingly, this one time it's true. After hearing of the Simple Life and Sweet 16 and not being able to even stomach a whole episode, I commented that what we really need is to take even normal everyday Americans and drop them into impoverished areas around the world and watch them learn what real work, sacrifice and ingenuity it takes for most of the human race to survive. And now, we have it. Exiled. I can't wait to watch an episode. The synopses sound like they may just have done it. The premise is they take spoiled brats and exile them to these remote places like Mongolia till they learn to be appreciative and productive.
Now, if they would fix those bachelor/bachelorette shows. How bizarre are those? You have to date like 30 people at once and eliminate one every week. Why doesn't someone just do away with 5 at a time, or insist on keeping them all an extra week? And why do they think they have to choose their spouse by the end? Weird. Just weird. Ditch 'em all and start all over. Plus, what do they really know about a person after being put up in some luxury location and being taken on these dates to idyllic places you could never visit in real life? These people have no idea what real life is like with each other. They should have them spend the night together with a set of 3 month old twins and see how they handle THAT together. Or why not throw a barfing toddler into the mix too, just for fun? Or make them each work 60 hour weeks and see if they still have the time or patience for each other after that. Make 'em share a bathroom, or plan a budget together or something, anything that might give them an idea what these people are like in real life and how they will handle challenges. Do you hear me out there?
And since I don't watch much, is there a show out there that can help a person with no natural organizational skills to organize their life? Not your stuff only, your life, your time and all. Get all the different areas of life in their little boxes and know when to deal with each one. Because I know someone who has a little problem with this. NO sense of time, no idea of how to compartmentalize anything. Broken executive functioning. Bet you can't guess who I'm talking about.

I don't watch much T.V., but I might have to watch that one! Yeah, and I think your version of Bachelor or Bachelorette is a MUCH better idea.

I need that organizational reality show! Exiled sounds interesting, I never remember to turn on the tv when anything REMOTELY interesting is on--call me so I can catch it!

Interesting idea for a show! I don't watch much television and basically zero reality TV.

Yes, definetly the barfing toddler needs to be in there! As far as being organized goes, I think you are just born with it, or you are out of luck!

I love your idea! I do love watching the Bachelor though. I know it's totally messed up, but it's totally entertaining too!

We liked that show where the teens were trying to raise children for a week. It was a laugh.
